Ray Romano and David Spade climbed to the top of television success in the ’90s, but the two funnymen took different treks to the stand-up stage they share at The Mirage as part of the Aces of Comedy Series.

Romano’s stand-up act was family-focused, which set the stage for his successful CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond that ran for nine seasons. Lately Romano has been co-starring with Chris O’Dowd in Epix series Get Shorty, and was featured in the 2017 hit sleeper-comedy The Big Sick. Las Vegas is one of the only places to catch Romano’s contemporary approach to stand-up.

Spade started out as a writer for Saturday Night Live before joining the cast, becoming known for his trademark sarcastic, dismissive characters. He went on to star in comedy films such as Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Joe Dirt and Grown Ups as well as sitcoms Just Shoot Me and Rules of Engagement, but he'll be engaged with stand-up through the summer with a busy touring schedule that brings him back to The Mirage with Romano in March.

Spade’s sardonic style contrasts with Romano’s everyman persona, but as a one-two punch of punchline delivery, the combination makes for a well-rounded evening of laughter.
