Thanks to a bevy of on- and off-stage antics too numerous (and salacious) to mention, Mötley Crüe long ago cemented its reputation as one of the most notorious rock bands ever. But beyond the infamy, Mötley Crüe were hard-rock trailblazers, from fashion choices to music videos to over-the-top stage productions (rotating drum kit, anyone?). So when it came time to hang up the leather pants and studded wrists bands for good, of course the bad boys from Hollywood chose to blaze one final trail: While announcing a farewell tour in January 2014, they produced legal documents to prove that, unlike most of their peers and predecessors, they truly meant farewell.

Sure enough, the four original members haven’t performed onstage together since Dec. 31, 2015. But that doesn’t mean their music has been buried for eternity. Front man Vince Neil has kept the flame burning as a solo artist, performing sets comprised mostly of Crüe classics like “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Home Sweet Home.” This week, the former longtime Las Vegas resident comes home sweet home to rock the Golden Nugget, where Neil and his band will once again proudly (and loudly) bring Crüe’s vintage sound to life.
