The joyous sound of the Swedish musical group Abba is being kept alive in concert by Abba Mania, the touring tribute show that started on London’s West End and now has an American version touring the United States.

Kirbi Jo Long, a Las Vegas resident who performs in the show, said she’s thrilled to be part of Abba Mania, which she describes as “more of a concert with audience members interacting than a musical.” Long thinks the stage and film versions of Mamma Mia! definitely gave Abba’s music a revival, but adds, “I had no idea how people in the U.S. loved Abba and were obsessed with the music.”

With songs such as “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” “Knowing Me, Knowing You,” “Super Trouper” and her personal favorite that she performs, “Chiquitita,” it’s no wonder she calls it a “high-energy show with not too many slow moments.”

Long mentions that she and the other female lead, Shelby Ringdahl, front most of the show and are on the majority of the time.
