There are many excellent restaurants Downtown, but lovers of classic Italian should head straight to Grotto at Golden Nugget. The selection ranges from paninis, sandwiches, pizzas and parmigiana during lunch to pastas, zuppas and traditional entrées for dinner, including veal kickerillo, pictured, a unique offering with Parmesan-crusted veal scaloppine awash in lemons and mushrooms with hints of citrus highlighting the dish. Las Vegas’ craft beer scene is impressive, and you can start your journey at Banger Brewing, a friendly, welcoming business launched by beer fanatics.
