Tim Allen had one of the greatest weeks an entertainer could have in November of 1994. During a seven-day span, the comedian and actor had the top television show in the country with Home Improvement, the top movie in the country with The Santa Clause and the top bestselling book in the country with Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man.

But it’s easy to argue that none of these are what Allen is best known for. His is the voice that has scored a place in pop culture history with the iconic catchphrase, “To Infinity and Beyond,” the call to action of fearless space explorer Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story movie franchise. (The Santa Clause has now had three films in the franchise while Toy Story will be releasing its fourth edition in 2019, plus all the spinoff specials.)

Allen hit TV gold again with Last Man Standing, a sitcom with a conservative audience base that ran for six seasons on ABC. After being canceled last year, Fox picked it up for yet another season to air in the future.

There is no stopping the comic and his distinctly masculine point of view. America definitely seems to love “The Toolman.”
