Songs of Our Lives

Clint Holmes and Earl Turner are the perfect combination. The two Vegas fixtures and pure, old-school entertainers join forces in Soundtrack: Your Songs. Our Stories. The Show, a musical odyssey at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the Westgate’s International Theater. Both singers are well-versed in how to captivate a crowd and both bring a variety of styles to the stage. Holmes gets jazzy and demonstrates his emotional vocal power on “Hallelujah,” while Turner keeps it funky whether he’s mimicking James Brown or strumming his guitar for a tender version of “Purple Rain.” With their powerful backing band and an assist from stellar singer Serena Henry, this duo’s Soundtrack is quickly becoming a must-see Vegas experience for music fans of all ages.

All The Vegas: Anne Martinez

“I do not look like a Vegas performer. I am short and I’m not blessed in certain areas so I knew it would be an uphill battle. But I’m spunky, so I was like, ‘I’ll just see where I can find my own way,’ and I booked a show my first day in town, Bite. It was an ’80s rock show with all these hot girls with vampire teeth. There were three of us (that started) in the audience and I was bitten and became a rock singer. It was so good. I miss it. I got to sing ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and ‘Come Sail Away’ and all these awesome songs. It was so fun.”
