This playground is not for the kiddos. The Playground at the pool at Westgate Las Vegas is part of the property’s refresh, and the third-floor pool is celebrating its first summer season now. For those 21 and over, it’s a relaxing, adults-only section of the pool area, complete with bar and plenty of amenities to keep guests lounging.
The Playground offers spacious, open-air cabanas and daybed rentals for those looking for a more VIP experience. Cabanas come equipped with plenty of lounge furniture and are set among the faux grass and palm trees. Guests can also flag down one of the roaming cocktail carts and have specialty concoctions made right inside their cabana.
Throughout the summer, the pool hosts special guests and live DJ sets keep the party pumping Thursday through Sunday from 1-6 p.m. Games like Jenga, cornhole and chess keep the mind moving, but it’s Vegas, so it’s time to let loose, and there’s plenty of drink specials to help get you there. (Hint: Sign up for Westgate’s WOW Rewards card, and then you can take advantage of bigger drink savings.)
On Tuesdays, it’s tequila happy hour all day long with the WOW Rewards card, and on Wednesdays receive a free watermelon fresca with the WOW card; WOW Rewards also gets you a buy-one-get-one Fireball Fry-Yeah cocktail, and every day guests can enjoy five bottles of Dos Equis for just $15. And Westgate is one of the few spots around town where you can indulge in the popular Dole Whip frozen pineapple soft-serve—and, since this is an adult playground, guests can order the Dole Whip cocktail made with rum. There are more than a dozen specialty cocktails on the new menu, including frozen drinks and drinks by the pitcher; there’s also an extensive food menu with specialties like brick-oven pizzas and sushi.
For some extra relaxation, stop by the pool deck a little earlier—free daily poolside yoga sessions are at 7 a.m. Also on the pool deck is Westgate’s Serenity Spa, so you’re never far away from being pampered if the pool is not enough. And this summer, guests that book a summer body cocktail treatment at the spa can stop by The Playground afterwards for a free summer cocktail at the bar. Choose from the cucumber water, strawberry blonde or watermelon fresca cocktails.
