Comedian and author Iliza Shlesinger may be small but she is mighty. Standing at 5 feet 5 inches, she is a whirlwind of energy, moving back and forth across the stage and dishing out her feminist brand of humor during her stand-up performances.

Shlesinger compiled many of her observations about men and women in her book Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity, and she’s quick to dole out advice on any and every topic that anybody might ask her. She claims her dog Blanche helps her in answering these questions, but most likely the mixed-breed Chihuahua/Pomeranian best serves as her sidekick and sometimes stage prop as they travel the road to fame and fortune together.

Shlesinger won Season 6 of TV’s Last Comic Standing and has the distinction of being its first female winner, which somehow seems fitting and goes along with her being a strong advocate for female power.

However, it hasn’t stopped her from falling in love, and in May she married chef Noah Galuten—but jokes that there will be no hyphenation of those two names! Sounds like she’ll soon be writing another chapter for Girl Logic. ...
