Joe Rogan seems like he is always just one step ahead of the curve. The 50-year-old New Jersey-born comedian has been performing for three decades and has been on television screens consistently since he appeared on MTV’s Half-Hour Comedy Hour in 1994. The following year, he had a breakout role on the sitcom NewsRadio, playing a lunkheaded handyman—also named Joe.

Rogan was at the forefront of both reality television and mixed martial arts. He hosted the extremely popular reality competition show Fear Factor, where he was able to comment on contestants doing everything from lying in a pit of snakes to eating loads of hot peppers. He is synonymous with the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a color commentator for all the major fights. He has been named MMA Personality of the Year four times by the World MMA Awards.

The comedian, who riffs on topics including legalized marijuana and expanded consciousness, also has one of the most successful podcasts in the world. The Joe Rogan Experience debuted in 2009 and immediately garnered a loyal band of listeners, with Rogan and guests discussing subjects ranging from politics to joke thievery.

Rogan loves performing—he has self-produced seven of his own comedy specials—and is still finding new ways to keep his audiences—and himself—entertained.
