Virtual reality experience Zero Latency offers simulated environments to suit up for, including a tiki-themed fantasyland and several scenarios that require virtual weaponry. The latest, Outbreak Origins, has become a favorite since it debuted earlier this year. Participants find themselves transformed into armed-to-the-teeth survivors in a world where a deadly virus is turning the human population into zombies. There’s a cure to discover but a slew of reanimated corpses have to be taken out first, and they just keep coming.

For those less combat-minded, The Engineerium is a tropical universe where paths stretch high above ground, platforms rise and fall away just as you step off of them, sea creatures swim in the sky and everything can turn upside down in an instant. Zombie Survival’s theme is self-explanatory, offering a 30-minute shootout with the undead that keeps the adrenaline pumping throughout, while a military research facility is the setting for battling killer robots in Singularity. Visual warnings keep players from walking into physical walls but nothing stops zombies and killer robots except explosive firepower, of which there is virtually a limitless supply at Zero Latency.
