With the third installment to the Bad Boys franchise set to begin filming in August and a reboot of his hit eponymous ’90s sitcom becoming a hot rumor, Martin Lawrence is taking it to the stand-up stages with the Lit AF Tour before he gets wrapped up in red carpet appearances. Lawrence didn’t mess around choosing talent for a lineup with his name on it. The actor-comedian is touring with a quartet of seasoned comedians including (at Mandalay Bay) Deon Cole, Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce and Benji Brown.

Cole, one of the presenters alongside Lawrence for Netflix’s Def Comedy Jam 25 special, has been supplying jokes to Conan O’ Brien’s late-night shows since 2009 and currently appears on TBS’s Angie Tribeca. Smiley is the host of Atlanta-based syndicated radio morning program The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, which features Brown as an on-air personality. Both Smiley and Atlanta native Bruce, a veteran comedian who appeared in the Chris Rock film Top Five, were hosts of BET’s ComicView. Lawrence is the de facto master of ceremonies, and with this caliber of talent in the room, he’s sure to be on point whenever he holds the mic.
