Long before it was cool for major pop and rock stars to establish Las Vegas residencies, David Lee Roth attempted his own Las Vegas production. The onetime Van Halen frontman mounted a lounge-style Vegas residency in 1995, nearly a decade before Celine Dion revolutionized headliner entertainment on the Strip, but audiences failed to show up. Now, however, rockers from John Fogerty to Def Leppard have been enjoying success in Vegas, and the time is right for Roth’s return. He’s launching his new show, David Lee Roth Rocks Vegas, at the House of Blues.

Roth’s show is set to feature classic songs from his days fronting iconic rockers Van Halen (including “Jump” and “Panama”), as well as songs from his solo career (like “Just a Gigolo” and “Just Like Paradise”) and select covers, along with Roth’s trademark flamboyant stage presence, quirky banter and exuberant dance moves. “A weekend with me is interactive way beyond just music,” Roth said in the show’s announcement, and he has the dedication and the energy to live up to that promise.
