If you’re in town this Friday night, head poolside at the Golden Nugget for Honky Tonk at The Tank. This party’s a far cry from the typical crowded nightlife scene in Vegas—here, there’s plenty of seating and a variety of drink specials from the H2O bar, plus the neat backdrop of sharks swimming through their tank in The Tank. And local Vegas band The Rhyolite Sound (it’s named for the ghost town) plays its “desert honky-tonk,” a blend of country covers and originals, plus stuff from other genres like blues and rockabilly, too.
