A Singular Star
Metamorphosis is a celebration of the music and spirit of one of the most iconic pop stars of all time, an effortless crowd-pleaser of a show the likes of which we haven’t seen among the other resident headliner blockbusters on the Strip.
Janet Jackson returns to Park Theater at Park MGM July 31 through Aug. 17 for another round of performances that will see her cruise through multiple medleys culled from smash albums Control, Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 and Janet, all while leading her traditional army of dancers through equally iconic choreography recalling her classic videos from the golden age of MTV. Hardcore fans will celebrate right along with Janet, and casual fans will become fanatics at Metamorphosis.

Must-See: Jabbawockeez
The Jabbawockeez are nothing less than Las Vegas pioneers. There’s never been another show like the dance crew’s Jreamz, performed at MGM Grand Thursday through Monday, anywhere in Las Vegas. It’s a slickly choreographed dance production layered with the elements of breakdancing and hip-hop that have set the group apart since it broke through on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008, but there’s so much more. Massive video projection walls and dazzling lighting effects help create a surreal canvas, and Jreamz is loaded with humor and music, too. But when the team comes together, moving in unison and without a leader, that’s when the Jabbawockeez are at their thrilling best.
Around the Strip
Magical colleagues David Copperfield and Hans Klok have known each other for more than 20 years. In fact, Klok has sometimes been referred to as the Copperfield of Europe, having toured around the world and sold out plenty of arenas and theaters along the way. He’s been making the rounds in Las Vegas, preparing to open his new show, The World’s Fastest Magician, at Excalibur on July 29, and there’s no better way to get inspired by illusion than with a visit to Copperfield’s landmark show at MGM Grand. Klok took some friends and castmates to see his friend’s magic spectacular recently and spent some time backstage with the legendary and longtime Vegas performer.

The Vegas Golden Knights aren’t the only hockey stars who like to hit the Strip. The New Jersey Devils’ Connor Carrick, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Mitch Marner and the Ottawa Senators’ Connor Brown recently enjoyed the late show of Absinthe at Caesars Palace. Also spotted in the Spiegeltent was actress and TV personality Sofia Rivera Torres.
Actress Kelli Berglund, known for her teen turn in Disney series Lab Rats and currently starring in the Starz series Now Apocalypse, explored the updated offerings at Park MGM. She dined at Best Friend before partying at On the Record, then gathered her group the following Saturday at Jemaa—The NoMad Pool Party. Also at Jemaa that day: The Bachelor star Colton Underwood, who threw a combination birthday/bachelor party for his brother Connor.
