It takes some serious talent to hold your own alongside William Shatner, Henry Winkler, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman, but that’s just what comedian Jeff Dye did on two seasons of the NBC reality show Better Late Than Never, which followed the four pop-culture legends as they traveled around the world. Dye served as the group’s tour guide and “sidekick.” Dye has been a reliable presence on TV since he came in third on the stand-up competition series Last Comic Standing in 2008, and he’s appeared on everything from game shows (I Can Do That!, Money From Strangers) to pop-culture panel shows (Girl Code) to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, always bringing his affable, enthusiastic presence.

Dye brings that same presence to the hundreds of comedy shows he’s performed every year since just after high school. “I’m also a very happy guy,” he told his Washington state hometown newspaper, the Maple Valley Reporter, last year. “A lot of my comedy comes from a place of happiness.” Whether it’s with four of the most famous senior citizens in America, or in front of an audience at a comedy club, Dye knows how to make other people feel that happiness.
