Enigmatic Superstar

Lady Gaga took Vegas by storm at the end of 2018, generating national headlines for her two different residency shows and famous and fabulous guest stars like Tony Bennett and Bradley Cooper. But all those icing-on-the-cake theatrics wouldn’t matter much if her Enigma show wasn’t a deliciously memorable treat. She’s taken all she’s learned from massive tours like Monster Ball and Born This Way and her victorious Super Bowl halftime performance in 2017 and composed an epic production big enough for Vegas and Gaga enough for her most dedicated fans. Now an Academy Award winner, she’s back at Park Theater for another run of Enigma beginning on May 30 as well as her complementary Jazz & Piano shows on June 2, 9 and 15.

Must-See: Las Vegas Aces

Professional sports became a big piece of the Strip’s entertainment scene when the WNBA’s San Antonio Stars relocated and became the Las Vegas Aces last year, and locals turned out to support an exciting first-year team coached by Bill Laimbeer and Rookie of the Year forward A’ja Wilson. Now the Aces are back for their second season, armed with another top draft pick in Jackie Young, a talented young nucleus with Wilson and guards Kelsey Plum and Kayla McBride, and it’s most important weapon: a fantastically renovated and refurbished Mandalay Bay Events Center. There’s no place that does sports like Vegas; see for yourself.

Around the Strip

Jon Bon Jovi made the Vegas rounds recently, covering a lot of ground on Mother’s Day weekend. The rock legend visited the Palm at The Forum Shops at Caesars for lunch with his son Jesse and signed his own classic caricature on the iconic restaurant’s walls. He also took a tour of the remodeled Palms, checking out Bobby Flay’s new restaurant Shark and the massive nightclub KAOS, then shared his and his son’s rosé brand, Hampton Water, with friends and guests at Francesco Lafranconi’s luxury cocktail lounge Mr. Coco.

Celebrities just won’t stop watching Absinthe. In less than one week, the ribald review at Caesars Palace was visited by celebrity chef Curtis Stone, model and actress Ellie Gonsalves, Pretty Little Liars star Brant Daugherty and Slipknot members Jim Root, Alessandro Venturella and Jay Weinberg

Beautiful weekend weather and an unparalleled collection of culinary celebrities made for one of the most memorable and delicious editions of Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit in the history of its 13 years on the Las Vegas Strip. At Picnic at the Park, MGM Resorts culinary talent included Masaharu Morimoto, Roy Choi, Michael Mina, Julian Serrano and more.

Reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson partied like a rock star at Park MGM, visiting On the Record to kick off her weekend with some karaoke before hitting JEMAA The NoMad Pool Party the next day for some luxurious dayclubbing. Also there: Miley Cyrus’ brother Trace Cyrus with fiancée Taylor Lauren Sanders.
