Whether you “Heard it Through the Grapevine” or not, there’s a new Motown show in town and it’s taking things to the extreme. Motown is the feel-good genre that doesn’t require sequins and matching suits to make you smile, but they sure can’t hurt. Motown Extreme at Hooters hits all the right notes, even down to the bold coordinating costumes.

The young crew who opens the show seems like just a frame story of the next generation discovering the classic hits of yesteryear, but they surprise the crowd when they return as a slick quintet echoing the likes of The Jackson 5 and The Temptations. Expect tight harmonies and the high falsettos that make this genre so distinct. The group, who is impressive beyond their years, shares the stage with other acts representative of the quintessential Motown sound such as famous girl groups like Martha and the Vandellas and The Marvelettes. This upbeat, high-energy show will have you singing along to all the well-known hits from your favorite Motown artists as the crowd becomes one big dance party. The tunes will make you get up out of your seat, but just “Blame it on the Boogie.”

Hooters, 5 p.m. Wed.-Sun., starting at $59.95 plus tax and fee. 866.584.6687
