Blue Man Group is proof that being weird can be a lot of fun—and have broad appeal.

The show feels especially well-suited for the flash and sizzle of Las Vegas, where it's been a hit since 2000. The show has changed venues a few times over the years, but is now back at its original home, the Luxor, with its own custom-designed theater.

There isn't much of a plot and not a word of dialogue spoken by its leads: a trio in blue paint and skull caps that pushes the boundaries of sound and vision in one chaotic routine after another. Things get messy quick, with ponchos handed out to the first few rows to be safe. Paint is splattered and food is used as a prop with such ferocity, it's easy to wonder how much of the budget is spent on Twinkies and Cap'n Crunch.

Yet the heart of the show is the musicality. As good as these guys are at catching marshmallows in their mouths, they're even better at banging away at adjustable plumbing tubes or a drum set that blows smoke circles like a cigarette.

Luxor, 7 & 9:30 p.m. daily (dark Dec. 4), 7 p.m. show only Dec. 1, starting at $59 plus tax and fee. 702.262.4400
