“October is the most amazing month at Beer Park—the weather, being outdoors, it’s so beautiful,” says Laura Mitchell, Beer Park’s bar lead.

The rooftop bar, restaurant and lounge at Paris has long attracted guests for the awesome views, huge selection of beer and indulgent, upscale ballpark eats. It’s also just a fun hang, says Mitchell. “We have the best staff; everyone is energetic. We all love sports! It’s not just bar food, we have a smoker and delicious ribs (and) a variety of beer, cocktails and beer cocktails.”

Mitchell has been with Beer Park since day one, starting off as a bartender; about a year ago she received her current title, which she attributes to her hard work, dedication, reliability and her love for the job. She has more than a decade’s worth of experience behind the bar, in a sports bar-type atmosphere—she worked for many years across from the Oracle ballpark in San Francisco. When she moved to Las Vegas in 2015, it wasn’t long before she found the perfect home, she says, at Beer Park. “It’s a lot of work but it’s such a good venue,” she says. “… It’s all sports. I’m a huge sports girl, football, baseball, basketball. I always want to work somewhere where I would want to hang out.”

Now guests get even more bang for their buck, as Beer Park recently expanded the space to include a living-room type space, in addition to its picnic-style deck. “It’s like our backyard, you’re gonna come over to my house and have a big old party on my deck and now we have the living room space, a little more formal,” Mitchell says. “You can be indoors or outdoors. Our view is unbelievable. Seeing those Bellagio fountains go off and the gorgeous sunsets with the palm trees. It’s perfect.
