Motionless in White tours in support of new album
“The record is a culmination of every positive thing fans have said and told us what they love about the band,” Motionless in White frontman Chris Motionless told hard rock magazine Kerrang! in May about his band’s newest album, Disguise. “I’m just so excited to start the next cycle.” That cycle includes the Pennsylvania group’s current tour in support of Disguise, their fifth full-length album. Motionless in White and its namesake frontman emerged in 2010 with debut album Creatures, featuring the singles “Abigail” and the title track, which contains lyrics contributed by the already fervent fan base the band had amassed through regional touring and EP releases.
MIW has continued to bring in fans (dubbed “Creatures,” just like the album) over the past decade, with a heavy sound that combines metalcore with industrial synths, goth-style flourishes and a flair for the theatrical, both in Motionless’ lyrics and in his onstage look. Led by singles “Disguise” and “Brand New Numb,” Disguise debuted in the top five of the Billboard rock album charts, and now MIW is bringing its new material to all the dedicated Creatures. “Right now we really like where we’re at,” Motionless told Kerrang! “So let’s just keep the fires burning!”
