He may be known as the Dog Whisperer, but Cesar Millan is far more than just a guy who gets troublesome dogs to behave. Millan, who achieved national fame thanks to the Dog Whisperer TV series that ran from 2004-’12, has parlayed his dog-training expertise into a multimedia empire, including TV series, books, live shows, a magazine and a foundation that supports animal shelters and animal rescue. Now Millan is embarking on a new project in Las Vegas, a stage production that brings his unique life story directly to audiences, going deeper than just his connection with animals.

Cesar Millan—My Story: Unleashed comes from the producers of Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, which started in Vegas before becoming a hit on Broadway and on tour, and it offers a similarly intimate look at its star’s life. Millan, who was born in Mexico and came to the U.S. at age 21 with virtually nothing, will recount his inspirational rise to success and the lessons he’s learned along the way. “It’s been an incredible journey thus far and I’m honored to share my life story unlike I ever have before,” Millan said in announcing in the show. With a remarkable life and career like his, there’s plenty to share.
