The Voice season 10 winner Alisan Porter is hardly a newcomer to show business. She’s been singing and acting since she was a child, and starred as the title character in John Hughes’ comedy Curly Sue. She also performed on Broadway in Footloose and in The Ten Commandments: The Musical in Los Angeles with Adam Lambert (who was a coach on the same season of The Voice she appeared on) and Val Kilmer.

Her Voice victory (she and Christina Aguilera made show history as the first time a winner had a female coach) has led to the latest phase of her career, the release of her first post-Voice album, Pink Cloud. Porter co-wrote every song on that album, drawing on her on her own experiences and feelings. Cloud includes elements of country and soul, and some of Porter’s personal milestones are reflected in her music. Look forward to plenty of tracks from that album, and Porter might also thrill fans with some of her powerhouse performances from The Voice, including “Blue Bayou,” “Cry” “Into the Fire,” and “Stay,” to list a few.
