Yesterday, at a press conference held at the porte cochère, property partners of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas announced the brand-new hotel’s opening date—Jan. 15, 2021.

“Lightning will strike twice at 4455 Paradise,” said Richard “Boz” Bosworth, president and CEO of JC Hospitality, owner of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The property is taking over the former Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and its popular Joint concert venue, both long-time city institutions. Bosworth also shared his thoughts about the unique property—which is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton—that will feature upgraded entertainment venues, a new food and beverage portfolio, unique gaming floor, renovated rooms and the expansion of meeting and convention spaces.

The new Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will feature three hotel towers with more than 1,500 rooms and suites. The property will house a 5-acre desert pool oasis along with an event lawn for hosting live music along with an entertainment theater with a 4,500-guest capacity.

The 60,000 square-foot Mohegan Sun Casino will be operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.

The food-and-beverage portfolio includes a dozen new venues including Todd English’s Olives, Kris Yenbamroong’s Night + Market, Michael and David Morton’s MB Steak, Kassi Beach Club from restauranteur Nick Mathers, Hakkasan Group’s Casa Calavera and the legendary Nobu from chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Other food highlights include Pizza Forte from the Ferraro family, Afters Ice Cream and a sports entertainment, daylife and nightlife venue Money, Baby! from Clive Collective. Signature Virgin Hotels eateries and bars will include The Kitchen at Commons Club, The Bar at Commons Club and The Shag Room and Funny Library Coffee Shop.
