One of the fun things about Las Vegas is taking the norm and turning it into something beyond the norm—such as enjoying a cocktail in an unusual place. Here are nine unexpected spots for cocktails, only adding to what makes each locale so special.

1. Makers & Finders (1120 S. Main St., 702.586.8255) A go-to spot for some of the best craft coffee in town, this is also an Arts District gem for its specialty cocktails. New to the menu are dessert cocktails, inspired by their specialty lattes, like the Espresso Martini 2.0.

2. Mob Museum (300 Stewart Ave., 702.229.2734) A museum with a hidden speakeasy? At the Mob Museum, find a hot spot for drinking and learn all about the history of organized crime. Named The Underground, it’s located in the basement of the museum and decorated with artifacts from the 1920s. With Prohibition-era cocktails, guests can also check out the distillery where they’re cooking up moonshine.

3. Area15 (3215 S. Rancho Drive, 702.846.1900) While this immersive entertainment district is jam-packed with cool art experiences, for those 21 and over it’s also a place for fun imbibing. Enjoy craft cocktails at Oddwood, a digital twinkling forest; play arcade games while drinking local craft beer at Emporium; and test your ax-throwing skills while enjoying a glass of wine at Dueling Axes.

4. I Love Sugar (The Linq Promenade, 702.330.9124) The first floor is a huge wonderland of candy and sweet treats, but on the second floor, drinking-age guests can take a seat at the Candy Martini Bar and sip on candy-infused martinis.

5. Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails (The Cosmopolitan, 702.698.7434) Behind the janitor’s door in this barbershop, a hidden cocktail haven awaits. Step inside the speakeasy-inspired space and lounge around while perusing an impressive menu of whiskies and specialty, Prohibition-era-style cocktails.

6. Mas Por Favor (3879 Spring Mountain Road, 702.201.1133) In this Chinatown spot, a locals favorite spot for yummy Mexican cuisine, one might never know that from the unassuming taqueria lies a hidden treasure, a bar and lounge just down a small hallway. The intimate space serves up craft cocktails, eclectic Mexican beer and bottle service.

7. Planet 13 (2548 W. Desert Inn Road, 702.815.1313) This huge complex is home to one of the city’s largest marijuana dispensaries—and Trece Eatery + Spirits. The greenhouse-inspired culinary space serves 24 beers on tap, signature cocktails, sangria, and white and red wines.

8. Container Park (707 E. Fremont St., 702.553.2542) This outdoor shopping mall made up of shipping containers is more than just a downtown retail treasure—visitors can also enjoy some really cool cocktails spots. Check out the American whiskey bar Oak & Ivy and, on the top floor, Downtown Terrace, with a wrap-around porch.

9. The High Roller (The Linq Promenade, 855.234.7469) Step inside a pod and soar 550 feet into the air aboard the world’s tallest observation wheel. What will really get your head spinning is the attraction’s Happy Half Hour. In the 21-and-over cabin is an open bar and bartender, and for one 30-minute rotation of the wheel, guests can sip on specialty cocktails.
