One of the bright spots of the last few months has been the opening of Area 15, a huge multiuse environment opposite the Strip. And recently, Museum Fiasco opened there. It’s a welcome addition.

Museum Fiasco was designed as a kunsthalle space, an art museum that does not have a permanent collection and instead shows works on loan from other museums or from individuals. And it’s one of only a handful in the U.S., where most art museums do own collections. And that lack of a collection allows the space to host more avant-garde exhibitions.

Currently on display at Museum Fiasco is the Cluster, an exhibit by Playmodes Studio, a large-scale installation combining light, technology and sound coming from multiple pillars for an immersive show.
