From its initial debut on the Strip just over six years ago, the Linq Promenade has promised to become a different kind of versatile entertainment experience in Las Vegas. Now that it has evolved and made good on that promise several times over, the vibrant pedestrian thoroughfare between the Flamingo and Linq casino resorts has been acknowledged as one of the most energetic attractions anywhere in the city.

The fun starts with two signature experiences: the iconic High Roller Observation Wheel (702.777.2782), offering half-hour rides 550 feet in the air and unparalleled views of the Vegas valley; and the adrenaline rush of the FLY LINQ Zipline (702.777.2782), launching riders from a 12-story tower soaring a distance of 1,121 feet to the east end of the promenade. These dual only-in-Vegas activities are among the most exciting ways to spend a day on the Strip, not to mention excellent methods for getting to know the offerings of the promenade itself.

After you’ve worked up an appetite, discover a full spectrum of dining experiences lying in wait. For fast, casual and absolutely delicious eats, sample the crispy fried delights at Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips (702.322.0529)—and don’t forget the curry mango dipping sauce—or all-American masterpieces with toppings like smoked bacon, mac and cheese and grilled mushrooms at Haute Doggery (702.430.4435). Sit down and share a pizza pie on the patio or just grab a quick slice from the window at Flour & Barley (702.430.4430), or satisfy your California drive-thru cravings at the legendary In-N-Out Burger (800.786.1000).

Keep the party going at one of several Linq Promenade bars offering outdoor service perfect for sipping while you stroll, including the colorful Breeze Daiquiri Bar (702.818.3007) or the alfresco addition to O’Sheas Casino (702.835.5723) inside the Linq Hotel, the Blarney Bar, where you can experience the frozen Irish Margarita.

One thing you may not expect: The promenade has become quite the go-to for sports viewing, so whether you’re into football, basketball or hockey these days, you can take your pick from the Tilted Kilt (702.826.2100), the lively beer bar AmeriCan (702.331.5600), familiar crowd pleaser Yard House (702.597.0434), or some of the other unique restaurants that offer patio seating in addition to plenty of sports-suitable screens. Those include Chayo Mexican Kitchen (702.691.3773), the down-home and hearty Virgil’s Real Barbecue (702.389.7400) and the local product Off the Strip (702.331.6800).

Rounding out the Linq’s diverse selection are one of the newest locations of the super-cool Icebar (702.586.8925), where glasses, walls, seats and sculptures are all carved out of ice; the new Razer store (725.214.7222), where one of the leading brands for gamers offers hardware, software and other services; and plenty of sweet stops like the 14,000-square-foot candy shop I Love Sugar (702.330.9124) and the shortbread specialists at the Honolulu Cookie Company (702.489.6111).

It’s not easy to provide something for everyone, but the Linq Promenade has offered lots of fun for every Vegas visitor from day one and it’s only amped up over time.
