T-Mobile Arena proved that if you brought ice to the desert, hockey fans would follow. How it would compete as a music venue was another matter, one demonstrated shortly after it opened for business with an April 2016 concert featuring The Killers and Wayne Newton. The sight lines and sonics were amply demonstrated by the hometown heroes, and the arena proceeded to stand out, even as more venues were built. The home of the Vegas Golden Knights specialized in music’s most super of stars, and as a Strip-accessible stop for the biggest touring acts, T-Mobile Arena remains unparalleled.

For some acts, T-Mobile Arena seems more like a palace for visiting royalty. Consider country king George Strait, whose two-date appearances enable him to connect with fans several times a year without having to endure long tours. When KISS, Fleetwood Mac and Paul McCartney last played Vegas, it was within the state-of-the-art facility adjacent to Park MGM and New York-New York. And T-Mobile Arena has hosted yearly iHeartRadio Music Festivals since 2016, enabling a spectrum of established and rising talent to be showcased at what has become one of the most prestigious stages on the Strip.
