Travel through mesmerizing underwater territory, exciting prehistoric lands and vast interstellar universes, all created in a nostalgic, colorful style at Illuminarium’s latest experience, Lite-Brite: Worlds of Wonder.

That’s right, they’ve taken that glowing peg board toy that you loved as a child and used it to inspire one of the coolest interactive projections you can imagine, complete with mini-games, create-your-own-critter activities and so much more. One moment you might be saving dinosaurs from alien abduction, the next shooting lasers in space or drawing your own sea creature to add to the aquatic wonderland you’ve found yourself in.

Lidar sensors map the activity of explorers, so you need no additional equipment to interact with the cinematic universe you’ve stumbled into. You’ll need no VR headset or motion-tracking props, which means you can move freely from activity to activity at your own pace. Even in the open spaces, you’ll find interactivity as the space responds to your movement.

There’s comfortable seating and plenty of open space, so parents with rambunctious kids and sore feet, take note: this is the place for you. If small humans put a damper on your vibe, worry not. You can get tickets to the 18-and-older Retro Nights, happening on select nights through Aug. 10. Thematic cocktails, mocktails and light bites will be available during the after-dark experience.
