Whether you’ve never been to AREA15’s massive entertainment complex or you make a habitual stop every time you’re in town, one thing’s certain: There’s something new to see. With all-new attractions like AR Dodgeball and Superplastic’s Dopeameme Institute for Pleasure Research and longtime favorites like Wink World and Dueling Axes, the fun never ends.

Those who love to escape to VR fantasy lands will want to stop into The Lab, where a full array of activities awaits. Defend AREA15 from the villainous ES-14 and repel the tide of destruction they bring when you play Bot Breach. If a shootout is not quite the battle you seek, switch into boogie mode to defeat ES-14 with your totally sick stepping. Also in The Lab, show off your supreme spy skills in the laser maze, soar above scenic landscapes in the Birdly flight simulators and hop on the VR Vortex Rover to rescue and repair the attraction’s Collector Robot, Tinky.

If you’d rather explore without a VR headset, check out other surreal surroundings like Omega Mart, a Meow Wolf installation unlike any supermarket you’ve shopped in before. Roam around aimlessly to enjoy the sensory stimulation provided by tactile features, varied sound effects, dynamic projections and lighting design, and unique environments. If you’d rather move with a purpose, spend your time poking around the back offices trying to solve the mysteries that lie within—there’s tons to uncover.

Immersive attraction aficionados may also appreciate one of the newest experiences, Superplastic’s Dopeameme Institute for Pleasure Research. In this half-hour experience, you’ll be turned into a test subject to experience an animated universe. With multiple interactive rooms and many paths to choose from, this trippy, toy-themed adventure promises countless opportunities for fun. Once you’ve found your path to pleasure, make your way over to the psychedelic Wink World, a 20-minute walk-through experience full of infinite rooms that present stimulating sights and sounds.

You can get a bird’s-eye view of the main hub of AREA15 on Haley’s Comet, an indoor zipline. Better yet, you can race a friend around the building courtesy of the dual-track design and zippy glider mechanism. Keep your feet off the ground just outside the main entrance at Liftoff, a half-lounge/half-ride experience that takes you off the ground for a great vantage point for viewing the valley.

You might be thinking, “Wow, that’s a lot of stuff in one place!” It is, and yet there’s so much more. You’ll find restaurants, bars, even more attractions, shopping and live entertainment pretty much everywhere you look, but if you drop in during an event night, often you can score packages that help you hit all the highlights.

Spend your New Year’s Eve at AREA15’s Masquerade Ball to see each and every event space come to life with hidden lounges, lively dance floors and roaming performers. General admission is plenty of fun, but go all out and book the VVIP experience for access to bonus spaces like VIP lounges and the Mystery Ballroom.
