Allegiant Stadium was built to give the Raiders a world-class Vegas gridiron. Mission accomplished. It was a no-brainer to assume its designers would attempt to conceive of the most futuristic, football-friendly stadium built to date, but how would it fare as a live performance venue? By the end of the summer of 2021 artists such as Garth Brooks and Guns N’ Roses demonstrated that it worked well, and there was room for a 65,000-capacity, climate-controlled concert colosseum in the Entertainment Capital of the World.

Since then, Allegiant has been the default destination for world-class touring acts on the scale of The Rolling Stones, Metallica and Billy Joel. The stadium was host to the Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time in March 2022, when Lainey Wilson, Dolly Parton and Chris Stapleton were among the many featured performers.

K-pop superstars BTS settled in for four dates the following month. A-listers such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imagine Dragons and Taylor Swift know they can play to mega-audiences rain or shine thanks to a show-must-go-on enclosure system. The Stones liked it so much that they’re coming back this year, and in February Allegiant Stadium’s half-time show capabilities will be demonstrated to the world as it’s enabled Las Vegas to host the Super Bowl for the first time.
