Spa peeps, listen up! Awana Spa & Wellness at Resorts World Las Vegas is a must-visit for seekers of sublime body, mind and soul experiences. Guests can book one of many, many treatments or simply take advantage of Awana’s Fountain of Youth Passport—a three-hour pass to enjoy all the amenities without having to book a treatment. First, marvel at the spa’s luxury-meets-holistic vibes and décor. The serene space was designed around the concept of sacred geometry with curved archways and walls and very few angles and corners, leaving a sense of flow to the space. The spa is arranged in a full circle, so if you keep going, you’ll eventually end where you started—lending a calming effect in your journey. Awana Spa & Wellness also has singular experiences in addition to the best in relaxation and rejuvenation treatments. Let’s get into just some of the highlights:

>Fountain of Youth. This is the co-ed space filled with all the goodies for the body. “The heart of Awana Spa is our Fountain of Youth with six vitality pools, the crystal salt laconium, heated tepidarium chairs, our event sauna and experiential showers,” says Kim Key, director of Awana Spa. “Our guests are able to enjoy together—couples, friends, family, it truly is meant to be a social spa which truly is unique. We want people to enjoy the social aspect of wellness.”

>Art of Aufguss. Held four times throughout the day (two in the morning, two in the afternoon), the Sauna Meister performs inside the event sauna and takes guests on a 20-minute journey that incorporates light, sound, heat and aromatherapy. “In the simplest terms, it can be explained as a towel dance,” Key says. “We have trained performers that have choreographed dances to the lights and music. It’s like a mini theater. Through the dance, they have a towel that dispenses the aromatherapy and the heat throughout the room.” Awana Spa & Wellness is the first to bring this European tradition to the U.S. “It’s unique in that people know the benefits of a sauna but sometimes you’re just counting down the minutes, but if you’re being entertained by this amazing show with aromatherapy and beautiful dance and lights and sound then 20 minutes goes by like that.”

>Treatments. As fall is in full swing, Awana Spa & Wellness has the perfect menu of top treatments to transition the body into the new season. The Moroccanoil Hydration Ritual, “is a great transition of exfoliating that summer skin going into winter, that leaves the skin glowing,” Key says. It includes a full-body scrub, rain shower, full-body massage and dry body oil using Moroccan oil products. Other specialty treatments include Eastern Vibrations, a massage that incorporates sound therapy and sound bowls; Machu Picchu, with healing crystals, aromatherapy and bodywork; and the DiamondGlow Facial, which uses a machine to exfoliate and remove the dry skin while also infusing medical-grade serums into the skin.

“We have such experienced providers—therapists and aestheticians, well versed in their trade,” Key sums up. “We have a team that truly has hospitality in their hearts; they want to serve people. … My team is also the heart of Awana Spa.”
