It’s become as big a part of the Fourth of July as fireworks, and it’s beloved the world over for its combination of sport and a tasty treat. I’m talking, of course, about the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, a July 4 tradition that brings together the world’s top competitive eaters. And this year, as part of the America250 Bridge Bash, New York-New York in Las Vegas, in partnership with Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group, will host a qualifying match for the iconic Coney Island event.

The competition, which will be held from 4-5 p.m. on July 4 at the property’s Brooklyn Bridge, will serve as a qualifier for a chance to compete in the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in New York City on July 4, 2027.

All ages are welcome to participate in the family-friendly fun beginning at 3 p.m., including $2.50 food and beverage offerings, oversized games, face painting, live music and more.

And yes, you can try your hand at the competition if you think you’re up to the task by applying at majorleagueeating.com.
