Role in the show?
Dancer
What other shows have you been in, here in Las Vegas and other cities?
Fantasy is the only show that I’ve done in Las Vegas. Prior to Fantasy, I was working as a go-go dancer in the nightclubs.
Tell us the brief story of the journey that led to joining Fantasy.
I’ve been dancing since I was two years old, growing up with yearly competitions and recitals that shaped my entire childhood. I went on to major in dance in college, fully committing to the path I had always loved. After graduating, I made the NFL cheerleading team, the Buffalo Jills. Unfortunately, the season was cut short, so I continued performing by cheering for the professional lacrosse team, the Bandits. During that same time, I was also working around 60 hours a week bartending, saving every dollar I could for a move I had been dreaming about since I was 12—Las Vegas. I had fallen in love with Vegas early on, and after college, that dream became a concrete plan. I knew I didn’t want to stay in Buffalo and drift away from what I really wanted, so I made the decision to go all in. I moved to Las Vegas in August 2015, where I worked as a waitress while auditioning consistently. In February 2016, I booked Fantasy, which had been my dream job—and the rest is history.
What dance disciplines are you professionally trained in?
Growing up, I trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip-hop. In college, the curriculum was primarily modern, ballet, and jazz but included non-technique classes such as dance history, dance anatomy/kinesiology, music theory, acting, and more.
How many years have you been a professional dancer?
Eleven years.
What's your favorite dance disipline?
Jazz and hip-hop.
What number in Fantasy makes you feel the sexiest when dancing?
The solo makes me feel sexiest because I am all alone and in control.
What do you love about being a dancer in the Las Vegas entertainment industry?
The Las Vegas dance community is surprisingly small and really supportive. It’s far less cutthroat or catty than it often gets portrayed in movies and TV. Instead, we root for each other, want to see each other succeed, and genuinely celebrate one another’s wins. One of my favorite parts is that when we’re working gigs (jobs outside our regular shows), it’s common to run into old friends. The gigs are usually unique and rarely feel like “work,” so getting to spend the shift with friends makes the experience even better.
What is one of the hardest dance moves to master?
Difficulty is subjective and every dancer has their strengths and weaknesses. What is hard for one person might be a piece of cake for another.
Do you have any social media accounts that you'd like to share with readers?

Have you ever choreographed a professional number, and to what song and dance style?
I have never been a fan of choreographing due to my perfectionist tendencies. However, in college, I took two semesters of choreography and grew immensely from my experiences. One especially memorable assignment involved collaborating with the music department. We worked alongside students from a senior composition class who had created their own original scores, and our task was to choreograph pieces inspired by our interpretation of the music. It was a unique challenge, as both groups were creating original work while striving to honor each other’s artistic vision. Not only was this the first time my choreography was performed, but the music was also brought to life by students in a live orchestra. It was amazing!
Is there any particular type of music you like to dance to the most?
I find myself inspired by all types of music.
If you weren't a professional dancer, you'd be?
A nurse! I just graduated this past December and plan to start my nursing career very soon.
What have been your favorite dance roles in your career so far?
Fantasy has been my most cherished and most memorable dance role.
Is there a song you really want to choreograph a dance to?
I’m not an experienced or confident choreographer but there are tons of songs that I hope to dance to, one way or another!
What's your favorite movie that has dancing in it?
Center Stage was a movie from 2000 about the American Ballet Academy that I would watch repeatedly as a little girl. There is an epic performance scene at the end that I was obsessed with!
What artists are currently playing on your Spotify or music library?
I am an EDM girl, and I love my bass. My recent artists played on Spotify include Subtronics, Kai Wachi, HOL!, Zeds Dead, and so many more!
What are some other shows in Las Vegas that have amazing dancers?
I’m constantly inspired every time I see a show in Las Vegas. The level of talent here is incredible. Some of my favorite dance-focused shows are MJ One and Jabbawockeez.
Have you ever broken a bone or sprained anything?
I have broken my wrist and sprained my ankle, but my most significant injury was breaking my back at L4L5.
How many hours a week do you practice dancing?
We don’t have official practices for Fantasy, unless we are working on a new number in the show or rehearsing to clean the show. The past couple years, my recreational dancing has been minimal due to my busy nursing school schedule and the injury.
What other types of physical activities do you enjoy?
I love all types of fitness: weightlifting, spinning, Pilates. running, etc. I am also big on yoga—it has to be hot yoga, though!
In your opinion, what is the most mesmerizing dance discipline to watch and why?
I love watching ballet because of the incredible mix of strength and beauty. On the surface, it’s all grace, poise, and seemingly effortless but underneath that is insane strength, control, and discipline.
What is your advice to people who want to dance professionally?
My advice for those pursuing professional careers is to stay disciplined and keep refining your technique but just as important, if not more, is building confidence and defining your individuality. These components will help you stand out from the competition and stay resilient in an industry that can be tough and discouraging.
What is a common misconception about being a professional dancer?
A common misconception about dancers is that we don’t eat. Or that if we do, it's minimal. But, food isn’t the enemy; it’s fuel. I put a lot of value on eating well because it directly impacts performance, helping to stay strong, energized and healthy for the long run. As a cast, we’re big on sharing snacks in the dressing room, celebrating with champagne and birthday cake, and getting together outside of work to enjoy meals.
What's the best piece of advice you've received as it pertains to dancing professionally?
Our producer and creator of Fantasy, Anita (Mann), always reminds us how lucky we are to do this for a living. She really emphasizes gratitude and never taking a single moment onstage for granted. Hearing her talk about how much she wishes she could still be performing is a powerful reminder to appreciate where we are right now and make the most of every opportunity.
How long do you want to keep dancing, and what are your plans after retirement?
I would like to dance for a few more years. After retirement, I plan to pursue my nursing career with the goal to settle in the labor and delivery unit.
Are there any new styles of dance that you like?
I love watching people shuffle at raves and online—the footwork is detailed yet smooth and full of groove. It’s a style that doesn’t demand prior dance experience, which makes it even more fun to watch. I really enjoy seeing people from all walks of life pick it up and make it their own.
Besides dancing, what are some other ways you love to move your body?
I am always moving! Somedays, I don’t sit down until I get to work to do my makeup! Other than fitness, yoga, and dance, I love to cook, clean, bake and craft.
Why should Las Vegas visitors see Fantasy?
Visitors should make time to see Fantasy because it delivers exactly what people come to Las Vegas for: excitement, style, and a memorable night out. Fantasy has earned its reputation through years of success, consistency, and its unmistakable connection to the spirit of classic Vegas. Live shows have always been at the heart of Las Vegas tourism. That tradition shouldn’t fade away in the face of modern trends. Experiences like Fantasy keep that legacy alive, offering the glamour, energy, and intimacy that built Vegas into the Entertainment Capital of the World.

I had a private audition with Anita Mann, our producer, in the lobby of the Atrium Showroom, and within minutes, she offered me the job and I never looked back.
What's your favorite dance disipline?
Jazz.
What number in Fantasy makes you feel the sexiest when dancing?
The number set to “Solo Dancing.” I've really gotten an opportunity to make that number my own, and its slower pace allows me to show off my control and confidence.
What is your favorite thing about being a professional dancer?
My favorite thing about being a professional dancer is that I am living my dream. I've known since I was two that I wanted to be a performer and being able to bring joy to audiences every night by doing what I love is a blessing.
What do you love about being a dancer in the Las Vegas entertainment industry?
Las Vegas is a very small entertainment town full of incredible people. I have many friends in other shows, and we all support each other. There's always someone creating something and there's tons of opportunity to be in someone's showcase or to support someone's new creative venture.
What dancer do you admire?
Cyd Charisse was my idol growing up. I loved watching her classic movies, and she was one of the first tall dancers that I remember seeing. Debbie Allen is also someone I really admire. She's a true triple threat and what she's done for other performers is inspiring. And of course, Misty Copeland. Representation matters and seeing her break all the barriers of what classical ballet looks like has changed the world.
Do you like to dance for fun, and to what type of music?
Dancing is my favorite thing ever. I love to go to festivals. I'm pretty big into the EDM scene, but I will dance to anything. From reggae to dubstep, to faking it at a Latin club, I’m just happy to move my body.
What is one of the hardest dance moves to master?
That is a tricky question. I had a tap teacher say that you can be the most technical tapper in the world, but if you can't keep a beat, it doesn't matter.
Are there any dance disciplines that you want to learn?
Ballroom is absolutely beautiful to watch. It's on my list of goals for this year to take some classes.
Do you have any social media accounts that you'd like to share with readers?
@ashtonnicolej (Instagram) and @the_ordinary_showgirl (TikTok)
Have you ever choreographed a professional number, and to what song and dance style?
I had the honor of choreographing “Big Spender” for our Fantasy cast for One Drop in 2024. It was a Fosse-inspired number. I also got to choreograph a cheer-type routine for a Super Bowl event.
If you weren't a professional dancer, you'd be?
I love to throw events! I can imagine being an event planner. I love to cook, I love to decorate, I love doing florals and I love a good theme.
What's your favorite movie that has dancing in it?
Chicago.
Have you ever broken a bone or sprained anything?
I broke my foot in my senior year of high school but continued to dance on it because I was auditioning for college dance programs. It took a long time to heal, but I have no pain now.
What other types of physical activities do you enjoy?
I love hiking, swimming, and nature walks with my two dogs.
What is your advice to people who want to dancer professionally?
Take as many classes as you can in as many different disciplines as you can find. Find your strengths and highlight them; identify your weaknesses and strengthen them to the best of your ability.
What is a common misconception about being a professional dancer?
People often think that we rehearse every day, but that’s not true. The burden of knowing the show, taking and applying your notes and keeping your dance ability strong is on you.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received as it pertains to dancing professionally?
The longer you want to perform, the more rest and recovery you will need.
How long do you want to keep dancing, and what are your plans for after retirement?
I will keep dancing as long as I can. I've had the incredible opportunity to be mentored by my producer, Anita Mann. She's taken the time to start teaching me the business side of running a show, and I'm excited to continue to explore that. I also think it's important to enjoy the season that I'm in because I've worked my whole life to make this dream come true.
Why should Las Vegas visitors see Fantasy?

We have eight strong dancers, a fabulous singer and host, an aerial act and even a fire act! I went for it and was fortunate enough to be offered a swing contract!

There’s so much from Chris Cornell I’d love to choreograph to, but it has to feel perfect, and I’m not quite ready to take that on yet.
How many hours a week do you practice dancing?
I don’t get to take class as much as I’d like because when I’m not at Fantasy, I’m teaching dance, ages 2 to 18, all styles. It keeps me busy, but it’s something I genuinely love. Getting to share what I know and watch my students grow is so rewarding, and it’s a huge part of why I love what I do.
What other types of physical activities do you enjoy?
Lifting weights, walking my dog, golf, and skiing!
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received as it pertains to dancing professionally?
Work hard, stay consistent, and trust your own path. It’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing, but staying true to who you are, your values, your beliefs and your purpose, will keep you grounded. For me, keeping my faith at the center helps guide my decisions and reminds me that what’s meant for me will find me.

While finishing a contract dancing in Italy, I reached out to Fantasy’s dance captain at the time, and she invited me to a private audition with the show’s creator, director and producer Anita Mann. To my excitement, Anita asked me to learn the show, and I was absolutely over the moon. Do you like to dance for fun, and to what type of music?
Yes! I love dancing to hip-hop, throwbacks, and anything with a strong beat that makes you want to move.
What is one of the hardest dance moves to master?
Dancing in heels! Most of us train our entire lives in discipline-specific dance shoes, which is how we build strong technique. Adding a pair of 3- or 4-inch heels is a total game changer—it changes your balance, alignment and the way you move. Making it look effortless truly takes years of practice.

Your talent gets you noticed, but your attitude and work ethic keep you hired.
How long do you want to keep dancing, and what are your plans for after retirement?

Are there any new styles of dance that you like?
I love how commercial heels choreography continues to evolve. It’s empowering, athletic and artistic.
Besides dancing, what are some other ways you love to move your body?
Strength training, long walks, hiking, stretching and workouts that keep me strong and flexible.
Why should Las Vegas visitors see Fantasy?

I always feel really sexy when performing “Solo Dancing” or “Roxanne.”
What is your favorite thing about being a professional dancer?

Is there any particular type of music you like to dance to the most?
I generally have appreciation for all music styles and, based on the song, will determine more of what style of dance that would feel like to me.
If you weren't a professional dancer, you'd be?
If I wasn’t a professional dancer, I would probably have chosen a career in fashion and still might explore that one day.
What have been your favorite dance roles in your career so far?
I haven’t had a favorite dance role, just getting to perform in so many shows and have such a versatile career has been extremely fulfilling to me so far.
Is there a song you really want to choreograph a dance to?

I broke the same arm a few times when I was younger, but all before I seriously started training in dance very hard and the injuries never had to do with dance.

Growing up, I would practice over 40 hours a week, but now that I’m in the career and a professional I don’t necessarily “practice” as much anymore.
What other types of physical activities do you enjoy?
Dance is mainly my physical activity and it is plenty; however I have tried playing a bit of tennis recently.

My advice would be to train really hard as much as you can and be seen as much as you can. Always be kind and make connections.

A misconception about our industry is that we have super strict diets, but often we work so hard and so often and burn off so many calories that this often doesn’t come into play.

Some great advice I received is to literally never take anything personally in this industry.

I would like to dance for as long as my body allows me, then I would like to move to a more creative side behind the scenes in the industry and start a family.
Are there any new styles of dance that you like?
I generally love all styles. Old or new, I just always appreciate the art and passion behind it all.
Besides dancing, what are some other ways you love to move your body?
I’ve been playing tennis a little. I also love exploring and walking around new places I travel to.
Why should Las Vegas visitors see Fantasy?
Las Vegas visitors should see Fantasy because it’s one of the longest-running shows on the Las Vegas Strip and that doesn’t happen by accident. We change the show all the time—whether it’s dances, new cast members or the dancers rotating tracks—the show is always evolving.
