It can be hard to combine both style and performance in a sports brand, but it’s been done once again by PUMA, which has produced some of the world’s most iconic designs. In PUMA x JBWKZ, the spirit of the renowned hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez pairs perfectly with the sports brand’s innovative designs.
This weekend, you can get in on the ground floor as the PUMA x JBWKZ collection is released at the BLVD Las Vegas flagship PUMA store, accompanied by events featuring the Las Vegas dance troupe, which is also celebrating the 18th anniversary of its championship win on America's Best Dance Crew. The collection features a special shoe plus a line of graphic T-shirts that are inspired by the crew’s iconic choreography and cultural impact.
The official shoe launch drops from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 27 at the store (a multi-floor wonderland). The centerpiece of the collection is PUMA x JBWKZ Suede, a reimagination of the brand’s classic Suede, with enhancements including a premium suede upper, full mudguard, reflective 3M detailing on outsole and tongue, and metallic silver Formstrip accents. The lace tips are silver metal, stamped with 2003, Jabbawockeez’ founding year. An Open Style Classic 1‑vs‑1 dance competition on from noon-4 p.m. March 28 features dancers battling for a $3,000 grand prize.
And on March 28 the weekend wraps up with the Wockshop, wherefans can connect with the original Jabbawockeez in a meet-and-greet from 3-5:30 p.m. at MGM Grand, where the crew performs FREQNCY, the most recent reimagining of its long-running Las Vegas production.
