How cool would it be to meet a Las Vegas showgirl? Well, all one would have to do is make a visit to Radius Rooftop Pool & Wet Lounge at Stratosphere, where Kristen Thomas works as a cocktail server.
The Ann Arbor, Mich., native grew up dancing. Her talent and passion has taken her from Chicago, where she danced with a ballet company, to Carnival Cruise Lines, where she danced in shows for three years. A year ago, Thomas had her sights set on Las Vegas—landing a gig with Jubilee at Bally’s, Thomas and her fiance (now her husband) moved to town.
“We absolutely love Vegas,” she said. “I think there’s so much more this city has to offer than people think.”
While no longer a Jubilee showgirl, Thomas currently takes the swing shift as a showgirl in Stratosphere’s PIN UP. “(PIN UP) is so much fun. It’s sexy and cute. It’s dancing. It’s fun. It’s smiling and really high energy.”
But, five days out of the week you’ll find Thomas at Radius, Stratosphere’s adults-only, European-style, rooftop pool club. “Radius is for everybody. You can come here and be the party animal, or you can just come and relax; either way you’re going to have a good time,” she said. “And, I mean, the views are to die for!”

Besides serving cocktails, Thomas said it’s also her job “to make guests feel comfortable. … It’s nice to see people free and relaxed, and that’s how it is here.”
