Kasey Juadines may have been destined to work in the spa industry. “I’ve always been around wellness,” she says. “My brother massaged for years. My mom worked for a holistic chiropractor. So it just seemed natural for me.” Today she’s spa manager for Amina Spa at Sahara Las Vegas, and the road leading to her position was paved with wellness.

She started off as a spa receptionist in the early 2000s at Green Valley Ranch Spa & Salon by Well & Being, and by 2007 became a licensed massage therapist at the spa. Juadines then moved to Aliante Resort, where she split duties of massage therapy and spa management at the property’s Re:lax Spa. “I discovered I really enjoyed spa management, and an opportunity presented itself at (Amina) and I hopped on board,” she says, joining the spa early last year.

As spa manager, Juadines oversees the day-to-day operations, as well as training, procuring products for treatments, creating seasonal specials, and making sure her staff has all the support they need. “Amina’s guest service is top-notch,” she says. “We’re more of a boutique spa, and the plus side to that is it really allows us to know our guests. By doing that, we have an environment that is very welcoming and inviting.”

Juadines keeps her massage license current—even though it’s management she really loves—and keeps up on the latest trends in the spa world as she continues down the wellness road. “I’m very passionate about what I do, especially having gone from receptionist to therapist to manager,” she says. “I love this industry.”
