Good service and hospitality are Shantel Zorrilla’s love languages. “No two days are the same,” says the managing partner and general manager of the theater Voltaire at The Venetian. “I truly love being a part of someone’s experience. I always tell my staff we’re creating the experience for the guest and it’s so special to be a part of that—and it really fills my cup because I love service.”

You can spot the California native at the theater (which is currently housing a showgirl spectacular starring burlesque queen Dita Von Teese) greeting guests as they walk in and floating throughout the showroom making sure everything runs smoothly once the curtain goes up. “I’m a very hands-on manager,” she says.

Besides helping to open Voltaire, Zorrilla has tons of experience in hospitality and the food and beverage industry. This woman is a boss! Throughout her career, she’s helped open a dozen venues from coast to coast, and she’s managed nightclubs and restaurants from big names in the industry including Victor Drai, Catch Hospitality and Four Seasons.

“I have a very deep-rooted love for hospitality,” she says. “I love restaurants, shows, experiences and anything related to hospitality—it’s all really special to me. I’m very proud of where I am, especially as a female, but I have so much more to go.” We don’t doubt Zorrilla will continue to make moves and make an impact here in Las Vegas and beyond.

Libation: Vol-Teese

Besides bottle service, caviar service and liquor-infused ice cream, guests can sip on signature cocktails like the Vol-Teese. Made with Von Teese’s own Sweet Gwendoline French gin, it’s mixed with Cointreau, crème de violette and lemon for a refreshing sip.

Benefit: Come early, stay late! At Voltaire there is a beautiful bar with great music that you can enjoy before and after the show.
