“I’m a shy farm girl from Colorado,” Mariah Nieslanik says when talking about first moving to Las Vegas and thinking about auditioning for the adult topless revue Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease. “I didn’t think I could do topless; I couldn’t do it.”
But after dancing on the Strip in various production shows and after seeing what an amazing production Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease was, she decided to audition for the show at Luxor. She nailed her audition and now celebrates more than a decade with Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease as a featured dancer and co-producer. “After the first show and the top came off, I was like, ‘I can’t believe I haven’t been doing this my whole life!’” she says. “This is where I’m supposed to be! It’s so freeing and empowering as a woman. I love it.”
Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in Las Vegas, and Nieslanik reflects on the show’s success. “Fantasy is a classy, elegant production show,” she says. “What sets us apart is our producer, Anita Mann, and the choices she makes as a choreographer. We have amazing choreographers from all over the world. It really gives us the best show for the past 25 years. It’s for absolutely everyone. My grandma is part of the Red Hat Society, and she brings the single ladies with her—they’re in their 80s and they love it. There’s couples, singles, huge bachelorette parties; something for everyone.”
And for Nieslanik, being a part of the show she was too shy to join at first, she says, “I have to pinch myself every night. We all have hard days, but the second I get onstage there’s a live audience and they’re smiling and so happy to see you—it’s a dream come true.”
