Benjamin Larvie’s résumé is beyond impressive. The Nashville native has immersed himself in the theatrical world for decades, from stage acting and working with Broadway producer powerhouse Eva Price to working on the management side of Cirque du Soleil’s productions in Europe and managing Netflix’s Stranger Things immersive experience tours. Last spring he joined Grand Prix Plaza as the general manger.

“For me, Stranger Things is where I got my first love of immersive experience and attractions,” he says. “The art was a whole new form, whereas before it was all stage production. … It’s just a different human collective experience—the attractions world can just do something that stage productions could not do.”

Larvie and his team have built a playground with Grand Prix Plaza, the world’s largest Formula 1 fan experience. “This is the actual building that houses F1 when it’s in town but throughout the rest of the year guests can come explore the space, see the tracks, eat and drink at the lounge, celebrate their teams and drivers,” he says. “They can completely immerse themselves in this world.”

After all the impressive stops along his career path, Larvie says being with Grand Prix Plaza is actually “Like finding my home. The passion for this sport is just contagious. … If I can say one thing, everyone that works here truly loves what we do and we’d love the opportunity to show you Formula 1.
