Temptation Sundays and the big 1-0. Celebrating 10 years of wet-and-wild fun this season is a testament to the popularity of the pool party.

“We’re the longest-running gay pool party in Las Vegas,” says Tim Evans, Luxor director of marketing and one of the creators of Temptation Sundays. “We offer our guests a very inclusive environment. … It’s been described as a chill vibe. It’s a place to come relax and enjoy a sunny afternoon in Vegas, just hang out with your friends. I mention the inclusive nature because even though we call it a ‘gay pool party,’ I can tell you our demographic is widely varied. We have a lot of straight couples that come; our lesbian community will attend; we have a number of transgender individuals who come. Everyone feels very comfortable, very included and very safe. I think that’s been something that I’m really proud to say—it’s an environment that we’ve been able to create for them.”

Evans, along with popular local personality and host of Temptation Sundays J.Son, and with the support of Luxor and MGM Resorts International, created the pool event back in 2010, and now it has become a must-do in Las Vegas during the season.

For those looking for the poolside VIP experience, there are multiple cabanas as well as padded VIP lounge chairs and spacious day beds. To make the day at the pool extra sweet, book that cabana, which includes entry into the pool party for up to six guests. Each cabana comes with four padded lounge chairs, water and juices, fruit and snacks, flat-screen TV, misting system, mini fridge and free Wi-Fi.

This season promises some fun themed parties, weekly drink specials, surprise celebrity guests and resident music maker DJ Mattmon, along with the sexy go-go boys. Guest DJs will also perform, and J.Son of Nakedboynews.com stops by to fulfill his hosting duties.

“We were able to build this incredibly successful event just by creating that welcoming, inclusive environment,” says Evans. It’s time to jump on in to another successful Temptation Sundays season.
