Nightlife turns country this week with the National Finals Rodeo in town through Dec. 10. When you’re done viewing the competition at Thomas & Mack Center and you feel like kicking up your heels and partying, there’s plenty of places to play.

Lots of free live music is on tap at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Beginning at 9:30 p.m., the property’s concert hall 24 Oxford hosts parties for those 21+. The lineup includes Dan Smalley (Dec. 4), Will Jones (Dec. 5), Ben Gallaher (Dec. 6), Wyatt McCubbin (Dec. 7), Joe Nichols (Dec. 9) and Heath Sanders (Dec. 10). Also at the property, enjoy NFR specials like Casa Calavera’s Jack & Jill, a shot of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee whiskey and a bottle of Tecate for just $14; and at the bars Desert Star and Heat, order the Rodeo ’Rita or the Texas punch for $14, or a bucket of Budweisers for $25.

NFR central takes place at Treasure Island, but stop by the property’s country saloon, Gilley’s, for nightlife fun beginning at 9 p.m., with DJs and line-dancing with the famed Gilley’s Girls taking place after the rodeo each night and free live entertainment, too. The lineup includes Scotty Alexander (Dec. 4-5), Kevin Fowler (Dec. 6-7), Dez Hoston (Dec. 6-7), Michael Austin (Dec. 8-10), Jimi Nelson (Dec. 9-10) and CJ Simmons (Dec. 11).

Head to Westgate Las Vegas for more free nightly entertainment at the property’s Cabaret Theater beginning at 9 p.m. where you can get drinks, dance and check out: Joshua Ray Walker (Dec. 4), Johnny Owens (Dec. 5-6), Mike and the Moonpies (Dec. 7), Steve Helms (Dec. 8), Micky and the Motorcars (Dec. 9) and Thom Shepherd (Dec. 10). Westgate’s IBar will also host free nightly live entertainment, dancing and drinking.

One of NFR’s official after-party spots takes place every night at The Mirage. Head to the property’s sportsbook, Parlor Lounge and Center Bar, for live music and drink specials. At New York-New York, catch live country bands playing outdoors at the property’s Brooklyn Bridge, and for some real wild nightlife fun check out Coyote Ugly and its beautiful and talented bartenders, who hop up on the bar for some dancing and shot-pouring. Over at MGM Grand, check out nightly drink specials and live bands at Losers Bar and Whiskey Down throughout NFR. Happy rodeo, y’all!
