Eight Lounge is cigar nirvana; and the experience is well worth transcending to. “Eight Lounge is a vibrant and sophisticated lounge where you can gather with friends over exceptional cigars by some of the most revered makers of cigars in the world, as well as spirits and signature cocktails that are crafted and curated by mixologists well-versed in the flavor profiles of premium tobaccos for optimal pairings,” says general manager Ian Floranza. “Our guests sometimes forget that it’s a smoking lounge because our ventilation system is the best of any cigar lounge in the world.” (The ventilation system does not circulate the smoke-filled air; once every four minutes fresh, new air is pumped in, making the space very breathable and pleasant to the senses.)

The walk-in humidor and retail space stores more than 150 different cigars from more than 60 different brands, ranging in price from $14 to $5,000. For those looking for that special or rare cigar, Eight Lounge hits the target with choices like Arturo Fuente Rare Pink Series, Cohiba “Weller” edition, Padron 50th Anniversary, Gurkha “His Majesty’s Reserve” and Gurkha “Black Dragon,” just to name a few.

For newbie but interested cigar smokers, Floranza says, “We always have an experienced cigar ambassador on-site who can assist a first-time cigar smoker pick out and pair cigars with their drinks. Our bartenders also double as cigar sommeliers to help guide customers to different tobacco profiles and which spirit complements the cigar.”

Speaking of spirits, Eight Lounge excels in this offering, too. Guests can enjoy classic cocktails, twists on classic cocktails, pours of special and rare spirits and cocktail and cigar pairings, like the Irish coffee paired with the Arturo Fuente Opus X 888 cigar. “The flavor profile of Teeling whiskey used in our Irish coffee, which is a guest favorite, really complements the mild vanilla sweetness, floral and cinnamon notes of the Opus X 888 cigar,” Floranza says. Or try the popular pairing of the carajillo cocktail with the Under Crown cigar, he says. “Made with Licor 43, espresso and an orange peel, the simple ingredients of the carajillo bring together the earthiness of the espresso with the chocolate nuttiness of the cigar.” For the perfect after-dinner dessert, don’t miss the peanut butter chocolate martini served with a fun edible chocolate cigar and mixed with Ballotin peanut butter chocolate whiskey and XXI Martinis chocolate liqueur.

Eight has plenty of lounge areas with upscale furnishings and old-school cigar room charm. Outside is a large patio area, the perfect place to enjoy the spring season. “As the weather warms up, our outdoor patio is usually the first area that fills up,” Floranza says. “You could sit back, smoke your cigar, and enjoy libations as the famous Las Vegas Strip serves as your backdrop. It’s a beautiful setting!”

The cigar and cocktail experience combined with the enchanting space of Eight Lounge has remained popular with celebrities and tourists alike since it opened its doors in 2021. “My favorite part about Eight Lounge is the whole experience,” Floranza says. “First, you never know who you’ll be sitting next to. You could be sitting next to a famous athlete, actor or even the maker of the cigar you’re smoking and strike a simple conversation. The hospitality is top-notch and feels like ‘old Vegas.’ I’ve been told by guests that the first time they visit Eight Lounge, it feels like they’ve been coming for years.”
