Downtown Las Vegas is about to get a serious dose of cowboy spirit in a big way. Through Dec. 13, Circa Resort & Casino, The D, Golden Gate and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center are all in for Wrangler National Finals Rodeo week. While the action at Thomas & Mack Center runs through Dec. 13, Downtown’s NFR festivities kick off a day early and deliver nonstop western energy all week long.

Staying at Circa puts you right in the epicenter of it all. The property is part of the NFR “Stay Your Way” package and sits on the NFR Express shuttle route, so you can ride between Circa and Thomas & Mack Center without stressing about parking or driving. But the real action might be right where you’re standing.

The daily rhythm starts at Vegas Vickie’s lounge, where things get delightfully western every afternoon from 4–5 p.m. It’s serving up “Bucks & Belles” cocktails made just for NFR, and every drink comes with a raffle ticket for a much-coveted Vegas Vickie x NFR jacket. And just because they can, bartenders will be handing out pink cowboy hats. When the sun sets, the party moves up—60 floors up, to be exact. On Dec. 7 and again on Dec. 11–13, Circa’s Legacy Club rooftop lounge hosts its “Rooftop Rodeo” starting at 9 p.m., with handcrafted cocktails, live country music, dancing under the lights and a killer view of downtown.

For a genuine rodeo keepsake, swing by Circa’s Underhang Bar on Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., when NFR’s top steer wrestlers will be there signing autographs.

If you’re not going into Thomas & Mack Center but still want big-screen rodeo energy, the Downtown Saloon at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center has you covered. Every night through Dec. 13, doors open at 5 p.m. for free NFR watch parties complete with massive LED screens, live music, a dance floor and food and drink specials. For something completely different and pretty wild, Dec. 11–13 features the Bullfighters Only (BFO) World Championship at the DLVEC. Think freestyle bullfighting, live music, a western vendor market and meet-and-greets with the bullfighters. The action kicks off at 1:30 p.m. daily.
