New year, new stuff—check out the latest and greatest happening all over Las Vegas.
• Start the day off the right way when you’re in Vegas—that means brunch! Hit up one of the newest hot spots, The Kitchen Table at Rio Las Vegas. Hangover burgers, carnivore skillets and specialty pancakes like red velvet, ube and banana matcha are just some of the yummy treats, but make sure to dip into this new restaurant to take advantage of its signature booze. Order up Bloody Marys, mimosa flights, spritzes and booze-filled coffees.
• When afternoon and evening hits, take the party to The Tiki Bar at Excalibur. The new bar is saturated in exotic island decor, from wood tables and chairs to tiki votives, tropical foliage and thatched portals surrounded by glowing lanterns that help set the scene for tons of tiki-inspired sips. Rums mix with pineapple whip, coconut syrup, banana liqueur, sweet tea, strawberry and lime juices; there is even a tiki flight where you can sample three of the specialty cocktails, including the Tropical Tai. At night, the stage welcomes bands and DJs playing island sounds.

• For more party fun, check out the raucous real-late-night party Bang Out, put on by the folks of Atomic Saloon Show, at The Venetian Resort. The fun kicks off inside the theater at 11:53 p.m. on Jan. 24 and promises “carnival meets roadhouse and denim meets latex.” Drinks are priced very reasonably, and guests can get down on the dancefloor or watch as performers put on impromptu performances. This wild party goes until the early morning!
• To catch dinner and a show, make a reservation at the newly reopened and refreshed Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio. The opulent dining room, bar and performance space overlooks the iconic fountains show and a new menu of specialty cocktails and food has been introduced. The entertainment will feature immersive performances by singers, musicians, acrobats, dancers and more. It’s dinner and a show on party steroids.
• Get your cocktail on with some new hot winter cocktails at Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. The lineup includes coffee-based cocktails with recipes that mix coffee with sweet ingredients like peanut butter, horchata, Fireball, Baileys and Frangelico. The warm-you-up sips continue with hot chocolate-based cocktails (and zero-proof choices).

• Yup, January is also Dry January for those that want to give the booze a break, and hot spots are serving up some tasty creations. Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge at Resorts World Las Vegas offers The Carraway, a tart treat with pomegranate, pineapple, vanilla and orgeat. At Caspian’s Rock & Roe at Caesars Palace, The Cleo blends Almave blanco nonalcoholic tequila with pineapple, cranberry, coconut berry Red Bull and a dash of rosemary. Happy Camper at FSLV—Fashion Show Las Vegas created a spicy choice with the Hot & Unbothered with Seedlip Spice 94, jalapeño, cilantro, cucumber and lime. And RPM Italian at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has created two spirit-free sips, The Waitlist, with Fentimans rose lemonade and citrus, and the Tropical Spritz, with nonalcoholic aperitivo, passion fruit, calamansi and soda. Make a stop into one of the coolest speakeasies in the city, The Underground, located in the basement of the Mob Museum downtown. Check its Instagram account to get the password for the night and settle into a dimly lit, brick-and-leather-decorated lounge inspired by the Prohibition era. It’s here that you can celebrate Dry January with $9 mocktails like the Raspberry Lavender Fizz, The Test Pilot, Pineapple Smash and the Sober Spritz. Cheers (sans hangover)!
