On the Strip: Martorano's

The classics never get old and summer is a great time to revisit your all-time favorite Italian-American dishes at Martorano’s (Paris Las Vegas, 702.946.4656). This swanky dining destination is known for its uniquely homestyle cuisine, and it’s serving up the most beloved selections on the menu all summer long with a special three-course tasting menu priced at $49 per guest.

Start with your choice of fresh, house-made mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil, Caesar salad with addictive garlic toast croutons or the crisp Martorano salad. The entrée options are all specialties. There’s tender chicken marsala, tagliatelle in Parmesan cream, spaghetti with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese or a breaded chicken cutlet topped with Martorano salad. Save room for the panna cotta dessert and consider upgrading with a $25 wine pairing. It’s one of the most satisfying dinner deals of the season on the Strip, a truly memorable meal available for a limited time. –Brock Radke

Off the Strip: Ada's

Buzzy new neighborhood favorite Ada’s (Tivoli Village, 702.463.7433) sells about 200 pizzas a day. The most indulgent of its pies is topped with a foie gras, mascarpone and pine nut butter, plum jam, duck confit and truffle cheese, and finished with seared foie gras, chives and frisée. Like every pizza at Ada’s, it’s made with a dough that’s 3 percent salt and 5 percent olive oil, and flour from Utah’s Central Milling that’s never more than two weeks old. Baked at 600 degrees, the pizzas emerge with a crunchy bottom and chewy crown, and you can’t find anything else like them. –Rob Kachelriess
