In just a few short years, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has established herself as a culinary force on the Las Vegas Strip. And it all started with her eponymous restaurant at The Cromwell, a blend of California and Italian influences that has visitors coming back again and again.

The room itself is a star—lots of large windows allowing a panoramic view of the Las Vegas Strip and neighboring properties Bally’s, Caesars Palace and Bellagio. Movie posters from De Laurentiis’ filmmaking family pepper the enormous space, and there’s plenty of private dining spaces for larger groups.

You’ll find all your favorites here like the margherita pizza, veal chop saltimbocca and seared scallops, but Giada has plenty of surprises up her sleeve. You’ve got to try the cacio e pepe bucatini for two, which is served in a warm pecorino Toscano wheel. Great for Instagram and eating! An extensive cocktail list is highlighted by signatures like the Serpico, a sweet-but-smooth bourbon-based delight.

And De Laurentiis recently made a great experience even better with the launch of her Book Club Brunch, a real treat for fans who have purchased her cookbooks—all of the items on the menu come from her various cooking tomes.

For completists, head to the tasting menu, an all-in-one adventure in which all menu items highlight the book they came from and the page number. After starting off with a loaded pastry cart (cakes, doughnuts, scones and, of course, Giada’s famous lemon ricotta cookies), choose your salad, entrée and dessert. We personally recommend the oh-so-flavorful endive, pancetta and tomato salad with champagne vinaigrette and roasted garlic, followed by eggs cacio e pepe (with multigrain toast and pecorino cream) or spaghetti with clams in white wine garlic sauce. Both desserts are champs; it just depends on whether you want ice cream (drizzled with chianti and called affogato) or pudding (chocolate budino with amaretto whipped cream).

If you want to explore elsewhere, the brunch menu has plenty of treasures to be discovered. Brunch isn’t brunch without a cocktail, and Giada’s Sangria is a great starter, using either La Marca prosecco or Brachetto d’Acqui and accented with fresh lemon, lime, strawberries and mojito mint syrup.

Like lobster? Do not miss Giada’s lobster hash, served with potatoes, Nueske’s bacon, peppers, tomatoes and onion confit with two eggs and toast. Vegetarians will flip over the caprese frittata, made with mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and basil. And polenta lovers can obsess over the sunrise polenta waffle, a decadent concoction of pancetta, chives, maple syrup, bechamel sauce and two eggs.

Whether you’re having dinner, brunch or a special tasting menu, there’s nothing but goodness at every turn at Giada.
