Las Vegas has been featured in all manner of small- and large-screen endeavors, from Ocean’s Eleven to Chopped, and its latest appearance is in the new Netflix food show Fresh, Fried & Crispy. In this twist on the classic food review show, massively popular YouTuber Daym Drops hits up all kinds of kitchens across the U.S., from the home to fancy restaurants, and checks out the fried delights within. In Vegas, Fresh, Fried & Crispy visits Slaters 50/50, and experiences the Whale Burger.
“The Whale Burger, our tribute to the secret echelon of Las Vegas high rollers, was the perfect item to share with Daym on ‘Fresh, Fried & Crispy’ as it’s topped with incredible ingredients like fried lobster tail, wagyu beef and gold-dusted bacon,” said Cindy Sun, co-owner and general manager of Slater’s 50/50 Las Vegas in a release. “This not-so-secret menu item honors the wonderful city of Las Vegas, and we’re excited to share it with viewers from around the world.”
And if you know anything about Vegas, you know lobster is king here (forget about Elvis)—and fried lobster ... it’s no wonder Daym had to head to Vegas.
