Once you enter The X Pot, you’ll be transported to another world, a world where robotic servers roll up to your table, noodles dance and breezes bring the fragrance of broth to your nose.

You’ll want to order a drink, and you’ve got plenty to choose from, with Asian fusion cocktails including signature drinks like the C.R.A, a taste treat with Kai lemongrass-ginger soju, sparkling sake and green tea syrup, or the sweet Love & Money, with an infused green tea vodka, pamplemousse liqueur, chamomile tea syrup, yuzu-lemon juice and egg white. Or you can go old school with the classic Old-Fashioned.

The restaurant (from the popular Chubby Cattle group) features high-end hot pot with a ton of ingredient choices, plus plenty of other items to keep you satisfied, and interactive 5D light shows. A few of the signature appetizers available are a seafood platter; king crab croquette; oysters, foie gras with caviar, and the distinctive black swan cake. Presentation is one of the hallmarks of the restaurant, and the creamy swan certainly lets you know you’re here. The wagyu bone marrow with buttermilk toast earns rave reviews from all who try it. Truffle fries, wagyu dumplings and even “zesty” chicken wings at the bar keep it lively.

There are several ways to work your way through the extensive menu, and ordering a la carte is a great way. Choose your soup base and whether you want the one-person mini pot, or a sharing pot, where you can choose two soup bases. Creamy lobster, collagen golden chicken, X Special Spicy and creamy truffle mushroom give you that start. Then choose your ingredients, from wagyu meatballs, pumpkin, scallop, squid, goose intestines, quail egg, corn, crab, shiitake, enoki, Chinese yam, vegetable platters, bean curd skin, and many others. There are two broths for vegans and vegetarians, too. One of the most fun elements is the dancing noodle, where a server comes to the table and pulls your noodles and makes them dance before dropping them into your broth.

The wagyu feast features six types of Miyazaki Gyu cuts, (and A5 wagyu beef is flown in daily from Japan), from ribeye cap with foie gras to chuck short rib; get it for your hot pot, or as sashimi, or for the Himalayan salt block grill. The presentation here is as stunning as the swan—and a lot bigger! (Think golden steer statue with multiple shelves.) Plus, there are other meat selections to choose from individually, such as Kobe strip loin, Iberico pork collar and lamb shoulder.

The chef’s tasting menus may be the way to go, though. These include apps, mini or family-style pots, beef and other ingredients, lobster or seabass, and signature plates such as the bone marrow bibimbap. You can choose to select a wine pairing, too.

Signature plates to choose from include a wagyu sandwich, tenderloin on toasted buttermilk bread with mushroom sauce; golden wagyu fried rice with black truffle and the bibimbap.

You can get desserts, although these change on a daily basis, so check with your server.
