At first glance, Anderson Cooper, pictured, and Andy Cohen don’t seem to have much in common aside from their initials. Cooper is a respected CNN news anchor, the person many in the country turn to after a tragedy or a political controversy, to make sense of what’s going on in the world and how it affects everyday people. Cohen is the host of Bravo’s dishy talk show Watch What Happens Live, the person many in the country turn to when they need to make sense of the most recent episode of one of the Real Housewives series (which Cohen developed for Bravo).

But Cooper and Cohen have been friends for years, and they are two of the most prominent LGBT TV personalities in America. When Cooper interviewed Cohen for a book event a few years back, they realized that their onstage chemistry would be perfect for a series of live shows. Subtitled Deep Talk and Shallow Tales, the shows are freewheeling and fun, taking on whatever topics the two feel like discussing. There are video clips and back-and-forth interviews, plus questions from the audience, for a combination of polished talk show and intimate get-together, just like the duo’s best work on TV.
