Usually when rock stars announce their retirement, there’s little reason to take them seriously. So when Phil Collins told fans in 2011 that he was retiring from music, few probably imagined he’d stick with the plan for more than six years. Even if he took more time off than expected, Collins is now back in full force with his cheekily named Not Dead Yet Tour.

The first shows of the tour sold out in seconds, and anticipation for Collins’ return has clearly been high in the 12 years since his last full tour. Between his tenure in seminal pop-rock band Genesis and his solo career, Collins has more than enough hits to fill up a lengthy set list, from Genesis songs like “Invisible Touch” and “Follow You Follow Me” to solo chart-toppers like “In the Air Tonight,” “Another Day in Paradise” and “Against All Odds.”

Although Collins still has trouble playing drums thanks to various health issues, he has his son Nicholas ably filling in for him on this tour. With fan and family support like that, there’s really no reason to stay retired.
